India’s Waste Crisis: A Growing Threat
Mountains of mismanaged waste are piling up in our rivers, streets, and landfills. Plastics clog drainage, pollute water, and break into toxic microplastics that threaten wildlife and human health. Without urgent action, this crisis will only grow. Waste isn’t invisible—it’s everywhere. And it demands change, now.

By 2040: 27 Waste Centers Along the Ganga
Barish NGO envisions a cleaner India by building 27 waste management centers along the Ganga’s course by 2040. These hubs will serve as local solutions for waste segregation, recycling, composting, and community training. Each center will support nearby villages and ghats, reducing pollution from the source and creating sustainable waste systems rooted in science and participation.
